    Ewesheep (or others way up in the north), Do you have any problems with the combs freezing on your Welsummers? I love the breed but am a bit concerned about the temps up here. The Americaunas I have handle it well, but that pea comb is a bit better for heat retention I'm sure.

    Thanks for the tips. I think I'll start with three and see if the ladies get too beat up and cull from there if I have to. I may have to wait another couple of months and see if any get too feisty.
