    We added a run onto the coop and we let them “free range” outside when a human is with them. Maybe I should put bedding (pine straw from our trees) in the bottom level of the Egg Cart’n in winter to keep it warmer & drier?

    Coop in Summer

    Hi all, we got an Egg Cart’n chicken tractor and think it’s great but just wondering — when the chicks start spending the night outside, should I put one or two sides up for the chicks to feel more secure and keep them slightly warmer. Low temps right now are generally mid 60s. Thank you!

    She is eating when she's not resting away from the other chicks, but I'll pay attention to make sure she's eating and drinking normally. Her eye was fine when we got her from Murray McMurray on June 26. She is the smallest of the 6 chicks so maybe a peck injury. Thank you!!
