We have a Bard Rock hen that we raised since June 2013 who hasn't laid in about 3 years. All of a sudden she has laid two eggs in the last 3 days. Is this unusual? We aren't sure that they are safe to eat after this long.
We've had backyard chickens since June of 2013 but I just became aware of your site. I'm glad to be a part of a community that enjoys raising chickens!
