Hi!
@CabritaChicks . I am wondering about the best way to keep the flies at bay. I'd like to let my chicks forage, but I am afraid of parasites/worms. We have 2 dogs and keep up with the yard everg day. I also scoop the chicks run and clean the coop every day- more than once, but have many...
Hi,
Sorry, I was just thinking about feed and foraging. The vet said something about it, and parasites from free ranging, so I was curious. I clean the coop daily from feces - and the run. The flies are annoying though. I am new to chickens and the forum here.
Thanks.
Nothing. She had green droppings this am but is normal again now. She had quite a bit of DE on her nose about a week ago from the ground. She has plenty of energy to pick on the new pullets amd other than her weird breathing, shd seems fine. She is over 15 weeks now. She had it before we got...
Hi, I am new to backyard chicks and I have a pullet who sounds and looks like she is having trouble breathing.
She started out sneezing and would shake her head a bit. She holds her mouth open sometimes and stretches out her neck out. She is not eating as much and sits on her roost more than...
I have noticed she isn't eating as much or is as active. She is also sneezing after some DE that was on the run ground got on her beak. Not sure if that would cause any of this either.? I also just bought wood shavings from Tractor Supply that are super fine.
Hi!
I am new to chickens and have been reading a lot of info regarding introducing new pullets to older ones.
I have two new pullets fenced off in the same run as my older pullet who is now alone after I found out I had 3 cockerels.
At first, I integrated them all together but the lone...
They are about 15 weeks now the three in question are probably a week or two older. The barred one was big and developed quickly from hatch. The two white ones dev combs about 4 weeks. I have read different things about different breeds with comb dev and wattles. I was hoping for at least two...
I posted 2-3 weeks ago regarding hens or roos. One that I thought was a pullet might not be. This one is crowing and has started getting the all white to sing along smh. I think the only pullet might be the all black one unless the barred is a crowing hen.
Hi! I am back with pics at about 15 weeks. The barred one is crowing and the all white is copying. Do I have three roos? I was trying to make certain by tail feathers, but I am so new that I am not able. Help! I think the all black is definitely a pullet.
