I am new to the Polish breed and so far I've found out they seem to be very sensitive birds.
I have three Polish all together. 1 rooster and 2 hens. They are all around 3-4 months old I believe.
My rooster seems a bit sluggish and thin. He does eat and drink I have noticed.
I do know that...
Thank you so much for your post. I will definitely be watching everyone closely. So far so good. I did put some vetrx on their nose and also a tiny drop under each wing. They've all been acting okay. I have electrolytes in their water currently but haven't put the vetrx in it. Maybe I should do...
Thank you so much for the info! I'm beginning to think maybe it isn't coccidia and they just need deworming. I have not noticed ANY blood in their stool. It's little runny but it's not water. I'm just at a loss of what to do for them.
I've dealt with coccidia before but I'm beginning to wonder if corid is even effective anymore. I eleven 2 1/2 month old Serama's who seem to have it AGAIN. The corid that I have been using is the liquid not the powder. I did just receive Sulfasol Powder but am unsure on the dosage to use or if...
That is great to hear! I think I might be having a mite/lice problem as well. I'm wanting to treat my coop and birds. I just wasn't exactly sure on what I should use so I thought I'd see if that helped yours! Thanks :)
Recommendations for URI in my chickens?
I lost my silkie roo last night to URI. I separated him from everyone. I didn't realize this is what he had until it was too late. Everyone else seems okay but I will keep an eye on everyone. I went to buy vetrx and la 200 from Tractor Supply but when I...
Thanks for the confirmation! He’s going to his new home tomorrow but I wanted to double check again! I have another silkie roo so you could be right about him being submissive! Haha
I hope she gets better soon. My girl is also still limping but my husband confirmed she laid an egg so I know she isn't egg bound. Have you checked to see if she's been laying?
I am also dealing with this same thing. I noticed my leghorn limping yesterday evening and I ended up keeping her in the chicken hospital in the garage overnight. Still limping this morning but I did end up putting her back with the flock in their coop because she just looked so depressed. I'm...
