We wound up with a buff orpington, and easter egger, and a brahma. Later we got austrolorp. All of these breeds...

    Preparing Geese for Hurricane?

I am also in the path of the hurricane, although not directly on the coast. I'm most worried about the wind and branches falling from the trees, so I am bringing my chickens inside

Topic of the Week - Feeding mealworms, bugs etc.

I give them dried mealworms in the winter when insects are all hibernating. They are free range so they find plenty of food on their own.

Where’s the money!? Chicks? Eggs? Pullets?

I think a way to make money would be to build chicken coops. A good quality coop would probably make a great profit. Too bad I don;t have those skills.

That cat looks just like my cat Pikachu! He was an orange and white tabby cat. Sweetest most laid back cat I ever had.

How do you stop aggression among your chickens?

Our Easter Egger hen Cadbury is always sweet and sensitive among her flock mates. When to new chickens were introduced to her flock she started to get aggressive and peck them. She chases them around around the chicken yard and corners them. We don't know what to do about her. Our other chicken...

How to introduce new chickens to the flock

That sounds like a really good plan. Introducing them gradually. I really hope to have one large happy flock together. Hope it works out for you, and for us.
