Black, Blue and Splash (BBS) Marans discussion thread

Can someone help me identify these marans please. I think the first one is a black, but it has a lot of yellow on her chest and I'm not sure that's normal. I'm guessing the second is a blue or splash? Any help is welcomed! Thanks.

I'm curious if this little fellow is a pullet or roo. Someone sent me a mix of marans and this was included so I'm not actually 100% sure of the breed either. I think he/she is 4-5 weeks oohs. Please help, thanks.

    Blue Laced Red Wyandotte THREAD!

If I breed a splash and blue laced will I end up with an even mix of both? I know others have asked this question and were directed to bluelacedred.com, but that website is no longer available. Thanks, Stephen

Does anyone know what breed this is? Or at least where I can post to find out. Thx.

    The Olive-Egger thread!

I think you guys are missing the point. Some companies advertise Easter eggers as true Ameracaunas. If you have a true Ameracauna you will have no troubles, if you have an Easter egger you may have some trouble.

    Help, breathing problems?...

One of my 9 week old pullets is panting and not moving around much. I also found this beside her, I'm not sure if the two are related, but here are some pictures. I have already isolated her from my flock. Please help!

    The Olive-Egger thread!

I only use a heat lamp for the first 2 weeks. From 2-4 weeks I only use a heat lamp if it gets into the 30's. At 3 weeks they go outside during the day, and back to the boxes at night. Hope that helps.

9 week old Easter egger, what do you think?

    The Olive-Egger thread!

Yes you can. My pullets go outside at 4 weeks in anything higher than 45 degrees. I don't think you will have any problems.
