Can someone help me identify these marans please. I think the first one is a black, but it has a lot of yellow on her chest and I'm not sure that's normal. I'm guessing the second is a blue or splash? Any help is welcomed! Thanks.
I'm curious if this little fellow is a pullet or roo. Someone sent me a mix of marans and this was included so I'm not actually 100% sure of the breed either. I think he/she is 4-5 weeks oohs. Please help, thanks.
If I breed a splash and blue laced will I end up with an even mix of both?
I know others have asked this question and were directed to bluelacedred.com, but that website is no longer available.
Thanks,
Stephen
I think you guys are missing the point.
Some companies advertise Easter eggers as true Ameracaunas. If you have a true Ameracauna you will have no troubles, if you have an Easter egger you may have some trouble.
One of my 9 week old pullets is panting and not moving around much. I also found this beside her, I'm not sure if the two are related, but here are some pictures. I have already isolated her from my flock. Please help!
I only use a heat lamp for the first 2 weeks. From 2-4 weeks I only use a heat lamp if it gets into the 30's. At 3 weeks they go outside during the day, and back to the boxes at night.
Hope that helps.
