Rooster Aggression
Looking for a bit of advice... I have a roo, Diego, that appeared at my house 10 months ago when he was about 4-6 months old. We do not have any other chickens. No, It is very dark. He just started this since the time change. He used to start to crow at around 6:30-7am.- CaliChris10

Hello chicken peeps, our roo started crowing at around 3-3:30 am ever since the time change. It goes on until about 6:30. He might do it a couple more times then stops. Any one have any experience with this? Will it continue. He is waking other family members and they are not happy :( I won't...- CaliChris10

His name is Diego-Luna. Luna was his name when I thought he was a she :) So we added Diego. He comes running when he hears his name. So damn cute!- CaliChris10

Well we tried the smaller coop in the back property, he hated it and did't want to be back there. So he is back in the front garden, he loves it there, tons of space, shade, plants, trees etc...his little house is on our covered patio, every evening he comes to the gate to go into his house...- CaliChris10

So much great information! Thank you! So far he is sweet. Already comes when I call him :) I love crowing! Have only heard him the one time. We are on a bit more than an acre, zoned for horses. So that is not a problem and the neighbors aren't too close but I would worry if I had more than one...- CaliChris10

I have always loved the idea of having chickens, to hang out with them, they have so much personality. And also for the eggs. I do worry though that if I got hens maybe the rooster would get aggressive. If I got roosters I worry about the crowing. I personally love it but not sure my neighbors...- CaliChris10
