I think i unfortunately got all roosters from the straight run bin. Can anyone confirm if my Rhode Island reds are roosters or is 15 weeks old still too young to tell?
Hey I’m trying coconut oil now. I didn’t hatch her from the incubator. Both chicks are almost 3 weeks old now. I was originally using olive oil on them for pasty butt so I’m wondering if it’s a reaction from that. Idk. She’s completely fine otherwise. They seem like their temp is comfortable...
Thank you for the reply. It kind of reminds me of thick cradle cap. It does come off - in some places it’s more caked on and hard to get off. Chick seems pretty okay. Eating, drinking, pooping fine.
One of my chicks had yellow patches of thick buildup mostly around its butt however there’s some near its neck and under its wings too. Eating, drinking, and pooping normally. I have adult hens and have never seen this before. The other chick housed with this chick is not having the same issue...
Please help. I’ve never seen something like this with my other chickens. The skin around her butt is yellowing. Is this mange? Her vent is open and her poop is normal - she’s eating and drinking fine. The skin feels dry too. Other chicks skin seems fine.
