While moving my larger brooder location for my 15 ISA Browns, there was an accidental drop that caused one of my ISA Brown Female chicks (now 5 weeks old) to be injured. :(:(:(. She is favoring one foot and won't eat or drink very much, just sits in the corner away from the rest...
Thank You. I have 3 ISA Brown hens that are almost 3 years old, so these ladies will be the new Brood soon. The Barred Rock hen is beautiful. I have got almost 21 eggs a week with my current hens.
UPDATE- about 3 weeks ago, I decided to remove 2 of the Roosters (they were really starting to fight and annoy the hens). I could not find anyone other than the local So. Md Amish farmers who would take them.
They hold a live farm animal auction once a week and the Amish gentelman I gave the 2...
I have to trim my brood and have to rehome 2 Isa Brown Cockerels that have a great temperament. 7 weeks old and very healthy. Live in southern Maryland. More Photos if wanted. Please reply if interested.

I like the paver idea, and will make sure I do so. The roof will have a layer of 3/4"x 6-8" wide planks installed first before I install the metal roof, to help minimize the rain noise.

This is my first go at raising chicks, and building a coop from all reclaimed wood from an old house.
Some pics attached, any advice welcomed. We had an old 10x10' dog pen using for the run, with metal roofing for shade, and the coop will have metal roof reclaimed as well. door on left side...
