    Wobbly chicken - ataxia

Bought three black copper maran pullets from a backyard breeder. About one to two weeks after they arrived, the smallest one started acting odd so I separated her. Whatever it was, she has survived but acts like the wobbly CH cats. She had diarrhea for a bit, didn’t seem to be drinking or...

    Oriental Gamefowl Thread!

Don’t they get cold? The oldest chick is almost completely naked except for the wings (the youngest have peach fuzz) but I put them them out in the yard today in the sun with some sand and they all seemed to love it. I have had them inside with a lamp and heater plate and they still like heat...

    Oriental Gamefowl Thread!

I was given Ganoi chicks. I can hardly find any information on the Interwebs on how to care for them. Does anyone have any links or books to recommend? I have a experience with a regular flock of egg layers.

4 hens who need a new home (Bay Area)

Would you be willing to part with one hen? I really only need one to replace one of my small backyard flock. I've got a lot of "free-loaders" so another reliable egg layer would be nice, but I feel a soft spot in my heart for your Wyandotte who lays less. Do you have a photo her and what...

    Male or female?

Thank you, I passed on going to see them. It seemed highly probable at least one if not both were male. In the ad, they wrote they get two eggs a day. They look too young to be egg laying and me thinks silkies don’t lay tons of eggs. I am, however, concerned about a chick I got from a...

    Male or female?

These photos are not the greatest. Male or female? Does the lone chicken photo look like it’s doing okay or just a poor photo taker? Someone is wanting to part with these two and me thinks one is a rooster and second lone photo is just a bad photo. Thank you for your opinions.
