    One of my hens has a red , featherless neck. She is eating, drinking and otherwise acting normal. It has been like this for about 2 weeks. Should I be worried??

    I prefer to blow it out rather than suck it with a shop vac. I would just have to clean the shop vac and filter anyway...a job I hate worse than cleaning the coop.

    Any tips to keep my girls from scratching my lava rocks in the pathway to the back yard?? Any smell or chemical or ? that will keep them from digging them up every other day??
