She is 2 years old and I had both a roo and a hen of those and they definitely look different but he was a jerk that had to be given away...

    That is a hen they have proud tail feathers and the females can have spurs. They can take a long time before they lay.

    How long can you store feed for?

    Well I just opened a bag of feed that was bought the end of September. Looks like moths were in the bag so about 25/30% powder now Didn’t have a problem stocking up half a years worth at a time in years past but we must have gotten a bad batch right after the hurricane hit.

    Protect your flock. Why in the world did this neighbor find this funny? She wouldn’t like it if someone with a huge dog thought it was funny to chase her dog on her property. I would have big issues with this!

    Are these hatched march 23 this year. Male or female? I was sold them as roosters but I am not hearing them crow and they just don’t act like roosters. I’ll get better photos soon
