I checked on her again today and it looks a lot better so I'm guessing she just temporary lost her waterproofing due to molting.- Candiru09

What is wrong with my chicken
So I went to check on my chickens this morning and my Buff Orpington was like this Does anyone know whats wrong with her She's still really active like she normally is and I checked for wounds and she doesn't appear to have any.- Candiru09

Besides the brown on the neck of yours, it does resemble mine. I love the iridescent colors marans have.- Candiru09

I own a young "mystic" Maran. She's still small and hasn't reached full size yet. She also hasn't started laying yet.- Candiru09

I have a majesty Maran as well and I agree; They are very soft! Mine absolutely despises being picked up though so I don't pet her very often. She's rather weird as she won't try to escape being picked up but as soon as you pick her up she struggles with all her might and demands to be put down!- Candiru09

Very interesting! That approach makes a lot of sense. I'll definitely try that. Right now he still hasn't shown any aggression towards me and sometimes (very rarely) he'll eat out of my hand.- Candiru09
