The other three hens have been laying about 4 weeks. Getting 2-3 eggs/day from the three. The odd egg looked normal inside. Nice orange yolk. The huge egg was a double yolk egg. Just those two eggs about two weeks ago, then nothing from her.

We have 4 Golden Comets at about 22 weeks. Three of our ladies are laying about every day. One layed a small odd shaped egg about 2 weeks ago, then layed a ginormous egg a few days later. I mean this thing was huge. Since then she has not layed at all. So for two weeks she has not layed for us...
Well the question has been answered. One of our hens laid her first egg today. Granted it was in the run and not a nesting box, but they are starting to lay. Seems early since we got them as "day old" chicks on April 15, but at least one is now a laying hen...apparently...
