    Buff Orpington? Gender?

I thought this chick was a Buff Orpington but now not so sure. He/she is more yellow and has "bars" of light and dark. Legs are whitish. Any thoughts? Also gender? This bird is 6-7 weeks old.

    Pure bred Silkie or mix?

Thanks, I was thinking the same. He does a lot of chest bumping with the other chicks also. Is that a cockerel thing?

    Pure bred Silkie or mix?

A friend of mine's neighbor gave him his entire flock plus a bunch of chicks. I took 2 Buff Orpington hens and 3 chicks...this Silkie mix, a buff and another mix . What would be your guess on gender or is it too early?

    Pure bred Silkie or mix?

Any ideas on whether or not this is...

    What breed and gender?

Could be a cross as the original owner had several breeds. I'm thinking pullet as well.

    What breed and gender?

She was tiny when I got her so I'm guessing 6-7 weeks. Her comb is very small and light colored. She does have gray-ish legs

    What breed and gender?

I tried to post this a bit a go but I can't find it so I apologize if I did this twice :). I got this chick from a friend who got it from his neighbor so we're not sure what it is. Any ideas?

Excited to be a new member!

Well we have really good employees which makes owning our business a lot easier. I showed English Setters for years but now I have Miniature Long Haired Dachshunds (and one Standard).

Excited to be a new member!

I've had my little flock of five for a little over a month now. One of my employee's neighbors needed to re-home his large flock so my employee took all of them and I took 5. I have 2 Buff Orpington hens and 3 chicks about 6 weeks old. I believe one is a Buff Orpington, one is a Silkie and the...
