Y'all have made me so happy!!!!! I hate that I have to get rid of one (we can't have Roos) I would hate to have to get rid of more!! She just seems so red
Doesn't she seem really red, I thought they don't turn red till close to egg laying time (you can tell this is my first batch of chickens)
I have three chicken that were all born on the same day, all different breeds. One is clearly a rooster. A buff orpington with huge red comb and wattle and crowed for the first time this morning. One is clearly a hen. A big black bird with small comb and not a touch of red. She is a "talker" but...
Aww how old are they?
We have three that are 5 weeks old
I know the buff is a rooster, but I suspect at least one more to be a roo.. So the other day we bought 5 more babies! Three black sex linked to ensure some hens and two more buffs (since we will have to get rid of the Roos) that the lady...
A black Australorp. Is that what she is? I was wondering. Hmm. Now I have to google those- I was told by the person who gave them to me that she "thought" it was a black orpington. :) thank you guys so much for your help!! I hoping it's just the one, he is sure a sweetie though, at least to us...
That makes me feel better. The yellow one seems to have more significant wattle development which had me nervous. He/she is also always jumping on the others, trying for top of pecking order I guess. The big black and white one always has neck tall and straight, walks around like he/she is big...
Wanted all hens, my luck they will be all boys.. I see rooster qualities in all of them. Please tell me in wrong. That are three weeks old. I know it's a little early but I'm anxious :)

All I know is the teacher got the eggs from a farm, the same farm she sent the rest back too, maybe I can ask for more information... Watch- they will all be roosters :)
