    Need help identifying a predator

    Now that spring is in gear in N. Vt we are starting to have predator problems. I have chased racoons off 3 times. Today i found 2 piles of feathers from young doves. Not even a scrap of meat or bone left. What might have done this ? Racoon ? Mink ? Cat ? Weasel ? Hawk ? Raven ? --- Marina

    I had a hen inside today in a cage for a minor egg prolapse. Earlier in the day she kept picking up wood shavings from the bottom of the cage and carefully putting them on her back. Why ? --- M

    Today's temperature = # of eggs.

    Today we got 3 eggs so far. It was about -17F Last night. Now it is a touch below zero and windy. 1 barred rock egg and 2 marans eggs.
