Happy to report all is well in Pea-land! The gizzard is taking care of everything! xray shows not a whole lot left . Earring is being dissolved. Pea chick acting normal. :) -

Thank you for your insight. I think we are in a wait and see period... :( It happened three days ago now and so far he seems ok we think. Maybe a little more 'fluffy' and 'chill' than usual. So hard to know for sure.. I wish I could speak Peachick! -

Because our baby loves shiny things he found a large silver type earring and ate it! xrays show it's gone from crop to gizzard and we are concerned about the toxicity of the metal (unknown what kind of metal - it was a silver coloured earring) and or if it will cause an obstruction. Should we... -

Thank you very much!!! I, too, was thinking it is a boy... but wasn't sure lately with some of those feathers lacking the barring. Is there anything behavioral I could watch for? Like males 'strutting' like a turkey because our little one does that sometimes. I have really appreciated this... -
