    My chicken in the front, came as an unknown. I think it maybe a rooster. 20weeks old, not laying yet. Not aggressive, but not acting like my layhorn hens either. Thanks for the help. These are my first chickens, so I am new at this.

    If you have iodine, that should work from a pre op and post op treatment if you have nothing else. Make sure to swab 3 times every time you clean the wound with a new applicator. Like a large q tip.
