    Roosting pole question

    Mines up high too. Probably almost 5' if I was guessing. They ignore it all day but seem to be interested in it when they should be hesding in for the night. Lets just see what the members say.... Every time I post a question I get great answers.

    This thread came at the perfect time! I am in central Florida. Its gonna drop to 63 tonight. Thats cold for us..... Anyway, I have 6-7 week old chicks. I have them in the coop as of today. Do they need a heat lamp any more???

    It is movable. We have a completely separate garden. I have actually seen people put ads on craigslist asking tocome clean your coop because they want it for thier garden.

    How did you get her to warm up to you? I have 6 chicks about 3 weeks old. They completely freak when I try to have any contact. I try a little each day. They aren't having it!! I see you two gave kittys undivided attention too!.

    Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I am actually taking notes. I love the advice. I really want to do right by these birds. I dont want to do something thats going to create more work for me or a less then happy clean place for them. Coop in progress. Getting there.....

    sorry im a total newbie to this, but what is organic material and where can you get it?? I dont want a muddy mess on bottom of my run.     Perfecft!!! Im building mine now. Okay my husband is doing most of the work but I can hold the dummy end of a measuring tape like nobody's business!! Your birds are cuties too!!

    Just got chicks from tsc

    I got some from there too about 10 days ago. They are so cute!! Enjoy they get so big sooo fast. I recognize the thermometer. You.must have bought it there too.
