I put this tray of water in today. They've had a great time splashing around and are now having a rest in the shade. Mamma didn't seem bothered at all. :) I've put bird netting over the top cos we've got some nesting seagulls who keep attacking everyone!- chaddyville

Well they're two and a half weeks old now and growing like weeds! We created their new run and 6.00am yesterday morning lifted her little hut into it with mamma and ducklings inside and opened the door. We'll take the old little hut out when she takes to the new one. She really has turned out to...- chaddyville

Hen raising duckling
My broody hen is not even a year old and this was her first time hatching eggs. She went broody and was trying to hatch her eggs but i dont have a rooster which is why i gave her the duck eggs. She has surprised me every step of the way. She's obviously a natural mom. :)- chaddyville

Hen raising duckling
How lovely your hen has taken the ducklings under her wing. I have a broody hen who has just hatched six ducklings from eggs I put under her. It's great to see her teaching them how to scratch for food. She's a natural mum. It sounds like your hen is too. :)- chaddyville
