So, my two little silkies today beat the Plymouths to the punch and produced an egg each right on time! The Plymouths don't even have the grace to look a little bit embarrassed, lol.
My two Barred Rock Plymouths reached 25 weeks on Monday and neither have laid an egg yet - should I be worried? They seem very healthy. They're eating layer pellets and grit, and doing daily free ranging.
How do you get your chickens to stand in the foot bath? I've put a tray of water in my coop on really hot days, but all they do is drink from it! Their run is a little tricky for me to climb into to put them physically in the water and I've not yet let them out to free range.
