    I live at a lake and haven't been putting them up at night. They spend the night on the water with th rest of the fowl. I put them in there the other day while we had company who brought their labs(dogs). Perhaps that's when they contracted them.. I use straw. They seem perfectly healthy otherwise.

    Have you tried introducing him to a mate that is more around his age? he is acting out of instinct but must not be able to control it well. It could calm down with age.

    Just an update on my duckling: I got her the terramycin ointment and have been applying it two to three times a day. She is keeping it opened more and it is looking better but I cant still tell there is something wrong. I will keep applying it though. Does it wash off when she gets in the water?

    One of my ducklings who is about 6 weeks old is keeping her right eye shut a lot. When she opens it, it looks fogged over... Wondering if she is going blind in that eye? Or could it be something worse?? Any thoughts?
