My Chickens are Sleeping in their Nest Boxes
My pullets started sleeping in their nesting box shortly after the first one started laying eggs. All are not laying yet but only the bantam roosts at night. The perch is a fine height for them and they all used to roost. I want them to roost so no poop gets on the eggs they lay. They do look so...- chcamp

My girls have not started laying yet! They are 26 weeks old and we live in Seattle so it is dark early right now ( and yes rainy ;) I have a bantam easter egger, silver wyndotte, australorp and a partridge rock. Thanks for your info. The doctors did some blood work and ruled out the most common blood diseases and autoimmune diseases but still have no answer. Sorry I am just figuring out this site! I have 5 month olds that are not laying yet- a partridge rock, a bantam easter egger, an orpington and a silver laced wyndotte.
