I have booted bantam roughly 3 years old. This morning we found her foot feather hanging by a nerve/skin? She limps and hops from the foot, she doesn't stand on it and lifts it up. We don't know what to do. We read some post saying to pull it out but its hanging and inside her skin.
UPDATE: it...
A lot of the chickens hatched around January 23-26 of this year and March is almost over so I guess they're about 2 months now?
I still want them to be on starter feed for a bit more but our dad has his own way of raising chickens. ( ; - ; )
That's how he's been raising chickens when I was...
Sorry, I haven't had time to reply back!
We forgot to feed Tobi the cream so thank you for reminding us!
We started giving Tobi the cream on Monday. I'm not home at the moment but once I'm home, I'll give Tobi their cream around 2pm then later tonight.
We're also low on chick starter feed...
Tobi's been doing well! The espom salt really helps when they poop but after that they still struggle and still make this high pitch noise when defecating.
I also noticed there's these yellowish white stuff on the outer inner vent. I gently tried wiping it but it's not coming off.
We're not...
Tobi's vent on 3/18/21
Tobi's vent today (3/19/21)
We think he's been plucking his feathers off. It's less feathery now.
Tomorrow I'll buy some espom salt, we had a bag but currently it's missing.
Tobi is very eager to eat coconut oil mixed with the than the foot cream, we'll keep you...
Tobi is eating well and becoming more active!
We've been feeding Tobi their feed with the athlete's foot cream, by mixing it with the food because we're not sure how to orally give Tobi the cream.
The weird discharge is going away but they're still struggling to poop. I noticed Tobi's vent is...
We have recently started to make Tobi’s feed a bit more wet than usual, because one of our sisters said that it may help her poop better and be more comfortable and less painful.
We do not have a way to weigh Tobi to know his exact weight, but I do know that she is light.
We have been cleaning...
Tobi and his flock eats the Dumor Poultry Probiotic starter feed. My dad started mixing corn into their feed, probably last week.
We will continue with the corid treatment.
We gave .25 ml safeguard on Friday, and another on Saturday. We haven't given Tobi any today.
We didn't give him any grit...
I have a chick, about 6 or 8 weeks old.
We named it Tobi. (We're not sure about the gender but it looks just like it's mom!)
Tobi hasn't eat or drink much for a week now and gotten skinny, to the point where I can feel the breast bone more than usual. The crop is always empty.
But today Tobi...
The feet with the back toe is in resting position. She was born with curled toes and we were scared we might break that toe if we straighten that one out.
And thank you so much for replying!
My dad has a month and 14 day old chickie, she was fine this morning but I found her limping in the afternoon. The bottom of her foot is warm/hot and swollen. It's also hot all the way to her leg.. I'm not sure what caused it. I forgot to mention, the bottom pic is the limping leg.
The other...
This chick is from a different flock.
He neck was normal, but he tripped and fell from his cage. It was about 7-8 inch from the ground. Then the next day his neck twisted.
We saw him standing or sitting by himself in the corner.
We thought he got hurt because he fell.
Will the vitamin E 400 IU...
I will!
I forgot to mention I got Corid this morning and started the treatment!
I hope the chicks will be alright! ;o;
I also have another issue with one of my dad's chick. I'm not home atm so I can't take a picture to show you guys.
But this chick, his neck is twisted or something.
Do I...
Hello!
My dad feed them Meat Maker and started to put a little mix of corn with it.
My dad also checked her leg and she's limping on her right leg. I think it happened when I was holding her to check if she was alright. She jumped off my hand so, I think that was the cause.
Here are the...
Hey, my dad hatched these new baby chicks 6-7 weeks ago and recently placed them outside....4-5 days ago.
They usually run up to my hand or run around their cage, but this one little chick started laying around.
Sometimes I find her sitting in the sun or in the shade. She doesn't walk very...
