    Meal Worm Colony to Supplement my flocks Diet...

    I am going to be starting a meal worm colony to supplement my flock's diet. I have a 15 gallon aquarium with a screened lid. I have 25lbs of Wheat Bran and plan to order my worms on Monday. How many worms do I need to start my colony? My flock is 5 hens who are in need of more protein and calcium.

    Thank you for your advice. I have her separated from the flock and I have been cleaning the wound. I will up their protein and calcium intake. I am thinking about farming meal worms to supplement them in the long term.

    My chickens have been pulling and eating each other's feathers. I thought they were moulting but I can't find any feathers so the must be eating them.
