    Update: The baby duck disappeared last night without a trace. The yard is surrounded by a 6' wall so I'm guessing a hawk or owl got him. Mama duck is still hanging around. She seemed a little distressed today but she isn't sitting on the nest as much anymore. Should we take the eggs or let her...

    Yeah. We made a ramp out of an old window screen and showed baby how to use it. Now the duckling's made a game of jumping into the pool and climbing back out. Got another peek at the other eggs this afternoon and still no sign of any more hatches. I have a feeling it's just going to be the one.

    Hello! Just looking for information really. A mama duck laid 12 eggs in a planter by our pool. She's been incubating them for a little over 28 days. On Thursday I saw one jump in the pool all fluffed up and swimming like a champ. I snuck a peek at the rest while mom was tending to the little one...
