Rookies - hen and me!
My lone surviving hen has been sitting on 5 eggs for 25 days. These were laid 3 weeks after my rooster died, so I'm pretty sure they're not fertile but I let her sit since I was sure she was lonely and it gave her something to do. Now my question is, I do have some eggs from January and...- CherylB

Why do people keep ostriches, emus, etc?
The breeder I'm talking with will just send a minimum of three chicks. What would be the best ratio in this instance? 2 males and a female or would that be too hard on the girl? Or just get 4?!- CherylB
