We have a royal palm and she is laying 2 eggs a day somedays. Once she layed 3 eggs in one day. Has anyone else ever had this happen with there turkeys.
I think that is so sweet about your son and husband bonding over the chickens. It is a lot of fun to watch and care for them. My daughter who is 16 and her boyfriend 18 also enjoy the chickens. My husband doesn't care for them but he does like watching them and helps us with building coops and pens.
Very sad to say we lost one of our chickens yesterday to a predator. We are not sure what killed Squirt our Silver Laced Wyandotte. We think it could have been a weasel. It was my daughters first chicken. We buried her in the garden, So yesterday her boyfriend Liam and I got her another chicken...
Just got a new hen for our Tom turkey, he was really aggressive with her for a few minutes to the point where I walked over to split it up and after that he stopped, should we be worried leaving them alone?
When the chick were younger I use to run around and chase them and Yell " I'm a hawk " I was trying to teach them to run from it. It was pretty comical.
Today it is snowing outside.Brrrr cold it was 16 degrees this morning. My girls all looking through the coop door. None of them have ventured outside yet. I think they are waiting for the Leroy(The rooster) or Turkey burd to go outside first.
