Had four guinea fowls sitting on a massive pile of eggs 2 got up yesterday and decided not to return but the other two have stayed one egg hatched today but I'm worried about the others it's 34° today but I'm worried the eggs left sitting outside/beside and not under the Guineas aren't going to...
That's what I ended up doing it easier holding it very sad ending though there was no progress 12 hours later so we zipped the egg using tweezers to push/crack a little zip line but unfortunately the chick was stiff and dead it was shrink wrapped that must have been why it looked to be vibrating...
Okay fantastic that's what I needed to hear 😅 may I ask when I take the egg out and create a safety hole should I put the egg on a warm damp towel while I try and create the hole ?
Okay this is something I have been humming and arring about all day I read the article of how to do it I've just been hunting for advice on whether to attempt an assist or wait I wish it would just externally pip 😅
So we had our early hatcher but now we are day 31 with an egg still moving am I suppose to help somehow ? It hasn't externally pipped but has internally pipped it has been rocking/ vibrating for 3 days now am I'm starting to stress because the moving is slowing down does anyone have any advice...
Yes just now I did it has internally pipped I didn't see it move but when I placed it back in the incubator the last egg that I'm sure isn't going to hatch at all as I have never seen it move rolled into it and the egg with the alive chick in it slowly turned and now I haven't seen it move...
What a crazy ride this has been is my first time incubating guinea eggs we did the dry method and went into lock down on day 23, I had one egg pip that night but didn't hatch until day 25 by day 29 I noticed an egg vibrating but my incubator is too at the moment im not sure if its because there...
Happy dance it hatched !!! Is absolutely knocking the crap out of the other eggs but seems happy it hatched 9:28. This morning I didn't see any movement from my past comment on here thought to myself I'll play some keet audio noises and holy moly within half hour of that playing it went nuts and...
Okay perfect my apologies I was using advice from artical I read on here about dry hatching guinea fowls an to go into lock down from day 23 they were put in on the 5th November so I think today's day 25 will keep a close eye on it any advice is helpful so I appreciate yours will update as we go 🤞
Still no progress it's been 31 hours the only thing changed is at 1:30 am around its 24 hour mark it poked at the pip hole and ever to slightly pushed the cracked shell out a tiny bit, still moves when my tourch shines light on it I feel like it's the only time I see it move at this time am...
Okay perfect I'll start stressing if still no progress or movement by the morning thank you both so much the shells are so hard and I know one of the eggs air cells for some reason is on the pointy end and I couldn't remember if this egg Is that egg or not I just don't want it getting stuck poor...
Sorry that was from a camera I have set on it as the incubator is in a dark room hopefully this one is better I don't see it move too much but when I put a light on it it does riggle its been about 17 hours since I woke up and noticed the crack/pip
Am so sorry this is my first hatch we went into lock down yesterday (day 23) while candling I thought I seen one that has already pipped so I took out the trays an put them on the bottom to hatch and raised humidity to around 70 for some reason I can't get it higher than that this was around...
