I have to admit, I was grateful that she was calm and 'just wanted to say something'. Apparently she doesn't like complaining, so it's unlikely any letters will be written to my local council.
We had some hot weather the other day and she was saying that my ducks were smelling ( which is fair -...
@ Gramma Chick It's the chickens that are fenced because otherwise they'll eat all our fruit, veg and herbs! the ducks are loose in the garden to rid us of snails and slugs. They might nibble on cabbage and other leaves which is fine... I meant you don't see the attack coming until it's too late...
I have a unique situation; where my boyfriend works they had a white female indian runner duck that got attacked by the drake, resulting in her being blind in one eye. They needed to re-home her and we said we'd take her on as our ducks aren't laying and run away from everything ( thanks to the...
one of my two chickens is a RIR and, admitedly, both of them run toward me if they're out and I go to them, which is so cute! she loves being hugged and never struggles. She loves pecking around my feet or at my toes. I'm worried she go for my varicose veins though... If the ducks are within...

I've been reading through this thread and some of them are hilarious! I have had people ask me if I'll eat my chickens and I always reply no because I keep them for their eggs. Also I knew from the beginning that I'd get way too attached to them to be able to eat them! I hug them both every day
Thanks for the warm welcome! My boyfriend is getting a little bit 'farmer happy' planting all sorts of fruits and veg in the garden - we live in a terraced house and our garden isn't as big as people think it is when I list off all the things we grow! I made my boyfriend laugh when I showed him...
