I saw a black d'uccle with the exact same coloring as mine but they didnt say what it was. Im guessing my hen is a black d'uccle mixed olive egger or black copper maran
The first babies we got, our hen has known those guys for about 2 1/2 months. They run around with each other when it gets really hot because my hen has control of the cool grassy area while my babies have the sunny dry side of the yard. The newest babies we ever got was yesterday and we...
We used to have 4 hens running around the yard, until one of them died, and then another died, and then another died, and all thats left is my aggressive barred rock. We got new babies when we had 2 hens because when the third one died we were sad ofc. Bertha has gotten used to the babies and...
So the black chicks you have are the brown reds? I have a mystery chicken who looks like a mutt of a black copper maran and an olive egger but i dont think really dont think thats what she is. anyways, do u have any update pictures of the brown reds?
hm im stuck on mine, it looks like a black copper maran crossed with a olive egger, but even though shes a baby her feet reallyyy flare out. But she looks almost exactly like a d'uccle except for the comb and coloring. Youll probably just get blue or brown eggs
You might have to put it out of its misery. It seems like the intestines might be coming out and it didnt develop properly. Nothing you can do :( im sorry
Not an easter egger. She has feathered feet. But she certainly has a face for it. We got her in a straight run at tractors supply. I picked her because she stood up taller than the rest of the chickens and that interested me so i got her
We were told that shes possibly a cochin but now thay shes growing up i dont think thats the case. I dont see any bearded cochins and she also appears to have gold lacing on her neck. Thought she was a nlack faverolle but she has 4 toes. I found a breed called a gara marand but they say they are...
We let out the chicks with the hens for about 5 hours for 3 days and then i stopped because i dont want my hens to kill the chicks. But they are pretty familiar with them. If the baby chicks get close to them or have something they want, the hens will go after them
Basically. we have a coop inside of a cage. The big hens get let out of the cage and roam around the yard. And once there out, the chicks get let out of the coop and roam around the cage, theres no getting in or out. What the hens usually do is run around the cage staring at them trying to find...
I have two full grown hens (a domonique and easter egger) and we recently got 10 new baby chicks. At first i thought my hens were gonna pick on them and then get used to them and it was going to be fine. It wasnt. Every time they get near them they hold them down and rip feathers out of there...
