    Chick won't extend neck

    Hi there, just wondering if you ever figured out why your chick wouldn’t extend their neck? I have a similar issue with a chick, she’s 2 months old. She has always eaten well, runs around and plays like all the others, but just won’t extend her neck…I’m wondering what’s wrong?

    Yes I would absolutely be in there boots and all if I could, but unfortunately the chick hasn’t draw the membrane blood in yet. Because it hasn’t internally or externally pipped all the membrane is still filled with blood. If I tried to do a full assist at this point it would bleed to death...

    Ok, warm cloth applied, have wrapped the egg in it but left open the end with the hole… will let you know what happens but think it might be over for the poor wee thing 😢

    Ok….. update: Chick 1: it’s beak is poking through the hole I made, and it is making the odd cheep… I think there’s hope. Chick 2: this is a bit horrid but.. I peeled back the shell over the air cell, and it was definitely shrink wrapped. I find this surprising because all the other hatchlings...
