My hen has been laying eggs since Feb. in her nesting box and she has just starting to lay the in the run on the ground. iIs this normal?

I added 5 new chicks in a coop and run of thier own, beside my old one with a full grown Serama And OEGB roo and my serama stopped laying for about 3 weeks. She has just started back. They will start when they get use to their new surrounding. Also welcome to BYC. I'm new at chickens myself...

Let them go in both. They will go back in the coop at night, maybe not at first but when they get ready thet will go. I only kept the food and water in the run and not in coop. I'm new at this and if anyone thinks I'm wrong please let me know.

I' m new at this but the first looks like a roo and the rest look like hens.

I want to know if anyone knows breed and/or sex of the white chick and of the brown/buff chick. Sorry about the pics. Camera acted up.

I have a small chick that I don't know breed. From other pics on BYC, it looks like a buff brahma but it has smooth dark legs. Question is can it be a buff brahma?

Does anyone know if anyboby has studied the ratio of hens to roosters.
