I just found that my little girl is egg bound, so I searched real quick as to what to do and I ended up soaking her butt in warm water, her egg almost came out but it was covered in what appeared to be part of her insides.
What do I do? she looks like she's about to die??!
Well, I had posted this on facebook, and I had someone suggest to bring in a hen or two and keep them in a large kennel with hay food and water and try different things to get them to start laying, I did and I got my first two eggs, since about April, from my two Japanese hens yesterday. I have...
They all act normal, they don't act broody at all, I had that mentioned before, I don't think that's the case here.
I just bought 6 new bantam hens and I was told they were laying and still no eggs. Not even from them.
I forgot to mention, when they stopped laying nothing was changed at all, they all just quit laying or something is happening to the eggs, I need some help. It's kind of like having nothing but roosters out there.
I have about 12 hens, we have had the since about July of last year. They all were laying just fine up until about April. I have tried just about everything to try to get some eggs again but nothing is working. My guineas and ducks stopped laying too they all usually lay all the time.
They are...
I am terribly sorry but I have to say I disagree. Neither one are golden laced cochins.
I think they might just be mutt cochins. They are beautiful though.
I recently got 9 bantam hens, I got two blue cochins, two black cochins, one dominique bantam, one patridge cochin, one amaraucana bantam, and two that look like these.
I have no clue what to call this color. I think they are for sure cochins though.
Well now that I think of it the other day I sprayed air freshener throughout the house. I didn't know that it couldn't be near the incubator. I didn't excessively spray it near there though. I just sprayed around the corners of the room and then continued to the rest of the house.
No it did...
