I wrote the last post last night and forgot to post it so that one is old. But anyways it is a day later and her eye is open, but under the scabs is a sort of puffiness (similar to another hen that I made a different thread for). I’m very worried that’s it’s part of bigger disease. Any advice?
Thanks for your advice. The first one is eating and drinking since her other eye had no problems. I don’t know what happened, but I recently moved them to a new area so maybe stress is causing the others to pick at her? I don’t know. I separated her from the flock since she was avoiding the...
Alright, this is what she looks like tonight:
Inside the beak looks normal except for the part in the corner that overlaps the area. I noticed some mites on a different chicken so I treated them all with Ivomec. The cheek is not hard but it is firm. She doesn’t react if I touch it. It has a...
Please help me- I have a younger serama hen who has an abscess (?) on one side of her face. She has lots of energy, no mood change or weakness (so I’m really hoping it’s not part of a disease). I recently got back from a week away but she wasn’t like that when I left, I feel bad :(. See the...
Hello chicken experts, I have a serama hen who can’t open her eye all the way because of a scab over her eye, I just got back after a week away and I feel bad. How can I help her?
I also have a really weak serama, she has been like this for a while. I’ve given her electrolytes and Ivomec a...
Maybe try telling your friend the health consequences for overweight cats? Maybe if you tell her that your doing this because you care about her cat, and use synonyms for fat (like overweight) so that it’s less rude sounding? Idk, hopefully everything works out :hmm
I have a dust bath with diatomaceous earth, but the chickens always bathe in the bedding. They just got mites again (they’re better now) but I’m sure they’ll just get them again if they don’t use the dust bath. How can I get them to use it?
