Yay i just read through the whole thread hoping for a happy ending! I never imagined living my chickens like I love my dogs! But I was wrong and would do anything for them. Good on you for being vigilant and saving your hen!!
I have one Red and she's definitely the boss of 6 other hens. 2 black australorps,white leghorn,Easter egger and 2 barred rocks. They're all outgoing except the Easter egger. I think it's because she knows she looks different then everyone else.

I just recently received an order from Meyer. All 6 chicks I ordered plus the Meyer meal maker were as ordered and in perfect health. I received a white leghorn as the meal maker and can't wait to start donating her eggs to a local food pantry.
