we have a barnyard mix. you might get some green eggs, brown eggs with dark brown spots, or bright brown eggs. they all do lay and i don't have chickens that do not lay eggs. only chickens that lay. we live in havana florida, (not havana cuba) and if you end up wanting any chickens then tell me...
i wash the eggs, put them in cartons, and stick them in the fridge. we have a lot and put the freshest ones in the back so we use the oldest ones first. they are not super old, but maybe two/three months old. :hmm
once your chicks are hatched, let them dry in the incubator until they are somewhat fluffy. take them out and then stick their beaks in water two times so they know how to drink. put a waterer in the pen/box.
the next day, put food in the pen.
