    Ducks in Canby?

Hi there! I live in city limits in Canby. While hooved animals are not permitted within city limits, you can have chickens/ducks etc with a city permit. It is $10 and you just need any adjoining neighbors who share a fence line to sign off on it.

6 Free Hens in Canby Oregon

Hi there! We have 10 chickens currently, 4 are older and 6 are younger gals we let our broody Jersey Giant hatch from eggs we collected. Problem being it is now not only overcrowded, but the younger gals (2 years old) are not friendly to our family bc we didn't hatch them ourselves vs our older...

HELP fellow chicken people! My Black Jersey Giant went broody I decided to let her set on eggs that I had gotten from someone on FB. (we aren't allowed a rooster in city limits) Well ONE showed any signs of life but even then it wasn't a sure thing because it was such a dark shell so I knew it...

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

Again- here is a pic from the first day that I got a pink egg. The tan is the color of the other girls, the green was the usual from the day before for reference. That particular day, 3 tans, and 1 pink!

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

I know it sounds CRAZY but I only have 4 girls, and it really honestly and truly DID happen! She went from green to pink then back to green! I check eggs everyday and the normal tans stayed tan- just the green disappeared and the light pink replaced the greens.... then came back to green again!

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

UPDATE for anyone following this post! I decided to skip the vet and just let it be. But I'm wondering if it was the FOOD! Our local Wilco ran out of Layena CRUMBLES for the past few months (which is what they were started on) and I had to use the PELLETS. Well, about 2 weeks ago the crumbles...

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

I believe she does! I know she used to raise chickens herself, and has mentioned going on house calls to attend to goats and cows so I'm thinking maybe chickens would have popped up as clients here and there?

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

Oh no! She seems healthy (is very skittish) but eats normally, behaves normally etc... I'll research to see if there's anything I should be looking for. Any suggestions on where to start?! I should add that her eggs were never a true BLUE, they were more like a green with bluish tinge to them...

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

Ok so here was when they first started laying eggs. See, all tan and a green (there were more greens but just one made it into that particular carton that I was giving to a friend. The next picture was when Louise first started laying pinks. I grabbed a tan, a green one from the day before, and...

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

Right?! And I've seen other people post similar things- that their eggs changed colors but then everyone says they must just have been mistaken about who was laying what... but I only have 4 who lay the same colors consistently. And the rest are all the same tan colors still but now I get 1...

Easter Egger Eggs Changed Colors from Blue/Green to Pinkish!

Hi everyone! I'm new to BYC and have a burning question I need help with. I can't seem to find much corroborating that it's happened to others but it happened to me! I got 4 chicks in March. RIR, Ameraucana, Black Jersey Giant and Buff Brahma. They all didn't start laying until they were about...
