Have any of them started practicing their egg song yet. Mine have been practicing for a couple weeks. I believe my RIR should be next. She's been singing up a storm and her comb and waddle are bright red!
@chfite- No worries. I wasn't trying to discredit your advice, one other post pretty much said the same thing you had. It's all I had to go by so i went with it. It's a learning experience. :) Chickens are fine and dandy. I just wish it would stop raining for one day.
Went back to Lowe's today to get some more sand today. I had bought some a couple weeks ago for my flooded run and it turned green the next day. I had put a post on here asking for help without much resolution other than it might still be too wet. So, off to the store I went to get some more...
Here's the coop after I put sand in the run. It was flooded for about 2 weeks when I finally got fed up and put down the sand. I still need to put down about 12 more bags but at least it's not a mud hole anymore.
