    Bought two supposed glw at tractor supply a couple weeks ago. One has the rose comb and more of the color on her wings but this one looks like this and is more black. Is it a rooster or something else? thanks

    I've designed this chicken tractor. I was wanting to use it for my free range flock, I just wasn't sure how I could predator proof it, I have coyotes, opossums, raccoons, and whatever I haven't seen yet. Any advice would be appreciated.

    Can my 9 week old girls eat layer feed?

    I can't separate them while they are eating since I'm not their in the day and have a gravity feeder but as long as it won't kill them I'm fine.

    I have grower feed and layer feed available since their being housed with the older hens but the older hens eat the grower feed and the baby's eat the layer feed. It would be impossible to separate them so I just wanted to know if it would be ok even if it's not the best thing to do.
