    Marek's disease or injury?

I did that. The feathers were ripped out of her back but there's no wound on her leg. It's basically just limp and if I try to straighten it away from her body she extends her wing but doesn't seem in pain.

    Marek's disease or injury?

Recently one of our hens was attacked by what we assumed was an animal, and it ripped up her back (it could have been the rooster too, but I doubt it.) She was able to get up to the nesting box at first, but now she's unable to move one of her legs. She had a lot of poop caked into her feathers...

Help!!!! What to do with my chickens and ducks in hurricane weather?

We aren't in the center of the storm so I hope I'm just overstressing and they'll be okay. I think I'm going to try to keep them in over the weekend too. It's not raining as hard as I thought it was (I don't think it will flood more than an inch or two, and all the coops are off the ground by at...

Help!!!! What to do with my chickens and ducks in hurricane weather?

Hi! I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but I didn't know where else to put it. There's currently a really big tropical storm/hurricane where I'm at. It's meant to officially hit tonight. We're not dead center, and we're inland, so I think it will just be tropical storm type winds...

    Lumps on chick's chest

She actually passed away earlier today. She had a lot of problems from shipping and not having enough nutrients. Even though she was obviously suffering from vitamin deficiencies, in the end she was gasping for breathe and having trouble breathing. Can that be an air bubble in the crop? I've...

    Lethargic

I'm definitely not the expert, but I just had a chick like that. For me it was a vitamin e deficiency. She couldn't walk well, her head was dropping, she was showing signs of wry neck. Yours might be something different though, not an expert. But you could give them some vitamin supplements...

    Lumps on chick's chest

I started a new thread for this because it seemed like a different problem. I have a lethargic chick with splay leg who was stumbling backwards constantly and couldn't lift her head up or hold her eyes open, and after research I think it's a vitamin E deficiency. I started her on vitamin water...

Chick not moving eyes closed only sleeps

I think it might be a vitamin E deficiency based on what I've read. Like I said I've never had chicks shipped to me before so I'm kind of in the dark. I started drop feeding her vitamin supplements in water but how do I know if I'm giving her too much?

Chick not moving eyes closed only sleeps

Yeah... She's still alive but now when we set her down she just walks backwards, like constantly stumbles back. I don't know if that's a sign of anything or if it's related to her splay leg, but she was walking fine yesterday

Chick not moving eyes closed only sleeps

We just got chicks shipped to us a couple of days ago for literally the first time ever (normally get our chicks from tractor supply or directly from the hatchery). They were all alive and well when they came, they moved around when they ate or drank. One of the white faced black spanishes has...

    Nine chickens disappeared during storm

They're small enough to get taken by a predator but the main thing they get taken by is hawks, which I wouldn't think are out in the storm. It was raining pretty hard but we looked for them around the coop and in the woods nearby and there were absolutely no signs of them. I think maybe they got...

    Nine chickens disappeared during storm

Hello! I'm new to this site so I don't really know how to tag this or where to post it, sorry if I did it wrong. I just got on here because there was a big thunderstorm last night, and when I went to put my birds in, only four chickens were there. I don't know if it's due to the storm or...
