Just found apple, my isa brown mix, panting in the nesting boxes. She had the same fat belly, wasn’t as severe though. I’m wondering if maybe they’re egg bound. It seems kinda strange that they all have it at the same time. Do worms cause this? Again maybe they’re fat from the sunflower...
Barnevelders have a beautiful double laced pattern and come in some realy pretty colours. Also the roosters don’t have that patterning, only the ladies.
I’d say cockerel. I agree definitely looks like a mix, this happend to me too.
We raise chicks in agriculture class at my high school. They get isa browns, white leghorns and “australorps”. We got an “australorp” rooster from them, his name is sooty and this is him now.
