    Thank you, something I should of mentioned but didn't think of is they died four months apart and were both examined and put to sleep by vets. I'm guessing I'm just coming to terms with their life spans being shorter than I imagined.

    Couldn't hurt to add in some more but you won't need one for each hen. I have two large boxes for four hens right beside eachother... yesterday I found three in the left box and zero in the right. This has happened multiple times and is normal they just like to cuddle
