    Drawing a chicken, then making it real: Can I select qualities I like and then breed them into existence as a new chicken breed? How?

    How much can we really pick and choose chicken characteristics by breeding? Say I want a blue shank, white plumage, v-comb, speckled egg, meat bird, as a hypothetical example. There must be resources out there to learn how to breed for specific genes, anyone have any they can recommend?
