My bantam chicken recently got attacked (we think by a bird of prey) and survived. Two days later we find that the small cut she had under her wing has some bruising and swelling around it, and I don’t know what to do to help her. She loves people and let me put polysporin on the cut, but should...
I’m pretty sure my chickens have lice and mites. I am going to make them a dust bath with sand and diatomaceous earth, hoping that will help a lot. I read that Ivermectin can help a lot too, but I don’t know anything else about it. Does it help, and how should I apply it?
Awesome that’s super helpful, thank you. The chickens stay in the run during the day but we let them out in our yard when we are home because I live near other houses. Would hostas be okay to go in the coop as well? I have a lot of them already, so just thought I should ask. :)
My chickens have eaten EVERYTHING that was once alive in their run, and I want them to have plants again for shade and spots to play around/hide under. Are there any perennials that they won’t eat but that also aren’t harmful to them that I could plant in their coop?
