Thank God! I have never seen those before and there were in a few of my girls feces! Thanks this makes me feel a lot less scared. My birds 100% have tapeworms then? :(
Recently i noticed this in my chickens poops. I've compared them to ringworms and they do not look like them.
Can anyone tell me what kind of worm it is? And also are my chickens eggs safe to eat?
Can i catch these worms from my chickebs?
What can i do to de-worm them?
Thank you
I love it! I was going to build a coop but my dad convinced me to buy a prefabbed one.... I live in the suburbs and one of my girls likes to fly in the neighbors yards so my enclosure is helpful for that. I want to eventually extend my coop because you know paying $500 for something you want to...
Thank you for the feedback! The one who was on top of the coop today is the Boss chicken so i can't see her getting kicked out. I added a second level/upper shelf to my coop where two sleep at night but it could easily fit three, she normally sleeps on the bottom level which she has been doing...

Last night I was amazed when all three of my girls were on top of the coop when normally they go inside the coop at night. Today just one of my girls was on top of the coop while the others were inside. When i saw her i pet her and told her it's okay. She was making a high pitched almost purr...
This is pretty funny. People say silkies usually get bossed around by the other girls but mine bosses the other girls around! I watcher stealing food from the other hens who are so much bigger than her!
Thank you for all your help @aart i have two feed and two watering stations! The only chicken i have that pecks the others has a trimmed beak. (I didn't do it i found out after i got her but i love her so i can't give her back) here is my newest addition
This morning when i went to check on them she was on the roosts with the other girls! In fact she took one of their spots. This morning she was fine, but i think since i let her out she must of scratched her beak on something! It's a tiny bit bloody on her comb how should i treat it?
I don't have a ventilated container to bring her inside, the owner i bought it from said she would be okay in this weather, all his chickens are free range outside a lot of them sleep in trees. I just got nervous. I have two chickens in the coop besides her, one is a very shy girl who is scared...
