Between my neighbor and I. We lost 30 chickens to 2 raccoons. I killed those 2 raccoons so now my chickens can free range again. I also made sure there are no food scraps in the yard at all. I am just sharing my personal experience. There is lots of good advice on here.

I would wean the chickens off the bedtime snack. This is a great find for raccoons or owls. They will also pick up a chicken with the snack.
