Thank you that's what I was thinking too. Any advice on how to keep him friendly? He tolerates being held, but is more wary than the other chicks. I adopted a rooster from a family member that I eventually had to rehome because he was so aggressive. He was already at least 8 months when I took...
This is my buff/Easter egger chick. He/she has always been bigger than the others and is more bold as well. The chicks are a little over 8 weeks old. Can anyone tell yet?
My chicks are a little over 6 weeks old now! They are growing so very fast! This is the one in question. It might be too early still but I thought I'd see if anyone had an guesses. It's larger than the others and more bold.

The one on the far left, little yellow thing with brownish face, I'm thinking it's momma is one of my rir or production reds, or whatever you wanna call them, they were sold as rir, but after some research, they don't look like true rir to me. Anyways, would a buff orp rooster and production red...
I love love love BYC! So informative, fun, and I enjoy that everyone helps and supports each other.
My 8 ladies are 2 years old now and just as quirky as ever. One of my hens went broody long enough to hatch some fluffy cuteness, so I now have 4 little chicks that I've quickly become obsessed...
